Lishmans Butchers Shop

Lishmans Butchers has forged and developed pioneering field-to-plate partnerships with local farmers. Farmers like octogenarian Richard Holmes, who continues to rear his beef cattle in lush green pastures on the banks of the River Nidd near Harrogate.

Richard raises prime quality all-British-breed heifers exclusively for Lishmans Butchers – it’s traditional beef farming which produces a completely natural product.

The shop also sources rare breed Saddleback pork thorough a selective breeding partnership programme at Lineham Farm Children’s Centre at Eccup, and from local farmers William and Yvonne Walmsley at Bishop Thornton.

The meat from these rare breed pigs has a truly unique taste and they produce superb crackling. What’s more, customers are ensuring the long-term future of these porkers when they buy their meat.

Lishmans’ policy of sourcing only local beef, pork and Yorkshire-reared prime lamb products wherever possible allows the business to hand-pick the finest quality meat. This ensures total hands-on control throughout the supply chain process, as well as providing full traceability.

More and more customers want to know exactly where their meat has come from and Lishmans is extremely happy to provide this information.
